Design a one-colour T-shirt

Creating single-colour T-shirts saves time and money without compromising creativity, as Olly Moss explains.

Every designer wants to make a T-shirt at some point. The versatility of the medium allows for any style - there's always a niche to fill and something that hasn't already been done.
In this tutorial I'll explain how to create a T-shirt design that's easily reproducible at any print shop - or even at home if you have access to some simple screen-printing equipment. I decided it would feature a monster truck, which is bold and iconic, making it easily recognisable. This works in a single colour and I think my target audience will want to wear it. I'll also embellish the illustration with old-fashioned heraldic flourishes.
